Let’s start with the obvious. My name is pronounced John-air. It’s Turkish. Born and raised in Izmir, Turkey, I relocated to the US in 2018. Austin, TX is my home now.

I have a passion for building things from scratch. That’s probably why I took up writing at the age of 7 and I built my first website when I was 16, always thinking “I can do that.” That same passion manifested itself in sourdough bread-baking and homemade pasta-making in 2020. 

In an effort to take that passion and turn it into a career, I started working as a content writer and an editor in 2015 and later on found myself in digital marketing, to reach more people to show them the things I create. Now, I work with businesses on their digital marketing needs, mostly with SEO, web design, email, and social media marketing. 

When I’m not working—which is rare since I’m a Capricorn— I enjoy cooking, baking, and screenwriting.
